Can't get a smooth fill

I finally figured out how to get a projected curve in the shape of the pieces I want, but I can't get a smooth surface on either of them. Every time I use fill it gives me weird uneven bumps that don't match the curve I need. I don't know if I messed something up, or if I've gone the complete wrong way about modeling these pieces. The projected curves turned out just the way I needed, and the pieces I want to make are that shape but maybe 6mm thick. I'm pretty new to onshape so if there's a better way to achieve this please let me know.

Extrude surface
Use projected curve to split each face of the surface.
Delete the split faces using the delete face feature.
