Similar to the outline of improvements we post for Onshape (web), we will also post what has been improved in the most recent update to our iOS and Android apps.  For those of you who have the iOS app installed, you should have received a notice via email from iTunes and from the TestFlight app that an update was available for download.

For those of you that have submitted a response to the mobile preference survey we put out this week, we will be inviting you shortly.  Now on to the improvements...
Highlights Include:
  1. Redesigned toolbar for iPhone.  This was designed specifically for the iPhone's smaller screen size and gives quick access to all tools from one button.

  2. New insert dialog for inserting instances into Assemblies.

  3. Appearance editor for parts (found in 3 dot menu). (sorry for the dithering on the animation...)

  4. Roll to end in feature list

Honorable mentions:
  1. A number of graphics improvements were implemented including a new inerim selection highlight that is displayed while drawing sketches.  This helps you see exactly what sketch is being edited in a two-tone skye blue.

  2. Now if your device is locked, goes idle or asleep, Onshape will no longer require closing and reopening the document!
Releases for mobile will be in sync with the web version of Onshape.   In some cases, brand new features in the web version might lag a release or two on mobile since the features must exist first on the web service in order to build a client to create them.  However you can edit them from a mobile devices if they are in the feature list.

Much more to do but as always, let us know what you think so far!
