Slower processing

sai_atisai_ati Member Posts: 11 PRO
I was working on Gear profile. I imported the gear profile from external sources. The processing of this gear profile taking a lot of time. I have 100mbps net speed, but still, the process is taking longer time. I want to know whether it is a system problem or any other issue.

How big was the file you imported? Did the import succeed? Check the bell icon top right.

is the profile 3d or a dxf that you imported?

Remember sketch patterns render slower than feature patterns.

so if you have the entire profile in 1 sketch it will be slow to generate.

But if you only use 1 tooth profile and extrude that, then pattern the extrude it should help the performance.

File size is 215kb. Import is successful.

File is 2d, dxf. It is the single sketch. But still the file is so small, it should not take longer time. Even if I perform some other operation i the same document where this dxf is imported, is really slow.

Do I need to have any specific system requirement at the user end to avoid slow processing?

I've noticed a lot of slowdown during heavy periods, typically when the US is online.  Early morning in the UK and it nips along but try again at 8pm and it grinds to a halt.  I have a thumping i7 with 8 cores chugging along at 5% whilst I wait for online processing - I'd quite happily have it running at 80% and be doing some of that processing for others on mobile devices etc.  Save the online processing for private documents and farm out the public processing to save costs.
Most of my slow down is when selecting multiple surfaces from a complex sketch for extrusion.

@saad_nasser are you using the public plan? If you are using the EDU plan you will need to make it public using the share button.

You can still make it public if you want help from the community, or you can share it with support if not.

Weld symbols are added as notes in a drawing. We do not create 3D welds.
