Hi,
Is there an easy way to make a hole in an object with curved surface?
Lets say that i create a simple solid cylinder, how do i then make a hole through the cylinder from the side of the cylinder, on the round surface?
Would be great with a little video showing this...:-))

The hole feature is clever little beast. The sketch point does not have to touch the part you want to cut. This means you can have a planar surface anywhere you like, put a sketch on that (maybe making use of the "use" function to project the outline of the cylinder) and then make a hole.
For a through hole all is simple, the clever bit is a counterbore. OnS will keep projecting towards the part and only start the counterbore when it hits the part.
EDIT:- It's actually even better than that. It will make the counterbore a minimum of the required depth as seen in the screen-grab below for the off centre hole.
I believe there's also a featurescript that will stick you a plane on the face of a cylinder too.

I am new to Onshape, and still messing a bit around with planes....i can see that you created a plane and put a sketch on that, but how did you creeate the plane....please excuse me my question.
No problem.
In my example I used one of the default planes so no need to create one.
However if you need a new plane in a different place then the create plane function has many options. The simplest is the offset plane. See here for good demonstration:-
