Is there a way to mirror a part then add features that will be unique to only one of those parts and not mirrored to both)?

I see that features can be added to faces 'after' the mirror feature and they only affect one part.

If you add features either of the parts after the mirror they should be independent of the part. If you drag your feature tree bar above the mirror and add features to the original part then roll to end feature will be added to both parts.

    Alternatively
    • Derive the part into a second part studio
    • Mirror it
    • (Hide or delete the original part in the second part studio)
    • Add additional features
    Totally associative.
