I currently end up using split surface and then delete face to make a cut into a surface. Can we just have a extrude cut function for surfaces please?

    yeap!

    while you're in there, add draft to surfaces. And... extrude direction other than sketch normal.

    Yes, extrude direction for both surfaces and solids would be great.
