Control of drawing dimension snaps

Maybe it's my shaky hands or blurry vision from long hours at a CAD monitor but dimensioning drawings has become a pain. With the level of mouse pointer latency evident, user control over snaps would be welcome. If it were available, I would immediately suppress snaps to tangent lines and quadrant points. Can we have an improvement request for this?
