Replacing Parts within Drawings

Hello, I was wondering if there's a way to change the parts within a drawing?
I currently need to make a detailed drawing of a part/possibly the assembly; after a while i will need to make a drawing for the same thing except a smaller version.
Is there a way to have the first larger part later be replaced with a smaller version within the same drawing?
