Do you have plans to have GD&T annotation in 3D?

Roy_CrossRoy_Cross Member Posts: 8
the latest industry practice is to apply the dimensions and tolerances, including the geometric tolerances (GD&T) to the 3D model. This is called model based definition or MBD. The ASME Y14.41 standard specifies the requirements for the application of GD&T in 3D models. Do you have plans to have MDB (GD&T annotation) in 3D models?

When will this feature be available?

@Roy_Cross we do not give timelines on when we expect features to be available.  We have a three week release cycle and reevaluate our priorities for the next cycle after each release.  So, mechanisms like improvement requests and user tickets are super important for us to figure out what is the most important thing for us to be working on!

Wish onshape had MBD, would make our lives a lot easier.

I would love to see Onshape pull together an advisory panel of OS users to scope out functionality and workflows for model based design.  ASME Y14.x is a great starting point, but things as simple as the ability to annotate sketch dimensions are hugely important to.
