Max dimension on surface created by spline.

I am trying to create "bounding box" dimensions for a part that has an odd shape defined by some splines.

I know you can create "max" dimensions for circular arcs, but I can't find a way to do that with a curved, non-circular surface (made from splines). Currently, I'm having to add construction lines to a sketch, add the sketch to the drawing, then dimension the sketch.  Is there a better way?

@tim_hess427 We do not yet support dimensions to local minimum and maximums of splines/curves in Onshape drawings.  We do support min/max dimensions for arcs/circles.  Your current options are to use sketches from the part studio, or use split face so that a point exists on that edge on the drawing view to dimension to.  I'll generate a ticket and add you to the improvement for what you want in drawings.

@pete_yodis - Thanks for the update. I ended up using the a sketch on the drawing.

I tend to make the sketch (in the part studio) a full bounding box so that I can dimension both length and width in the Drawing.

@pete_yodis Is there any update on the ticket for this? I'm stuck trying to dimension a spline in a drawing.
