I just posted the first blog entry in our "Under the Hood" series about how Onshape works internally.  It's focused on collaboration and may be of interest to some people here.

    Great Article @ilya_baran, really helps to understand how Onshape works. Will also help to explain why Onshape is better than file base systems, a common augment I have with my colleagues.

    Thanks, Julian and Bruce!  It's great to be able to share glimpses into our internals and we do plan to have more posts like this on all sorts of different areas of Onshape.

    It's an interesting point of difference, when you look at engineers as a customer base: they're almost never averse to getting to grips with the nitty gritty detail, on the contrary they/we positively relish it. Bravo, forza Onshape !

    Great post @ilya_baran
    It is good to know a bit of the inner workings when we post loads of enhancement requests, this way we can prepare them better and think of how our requests can be fitted into 'frame' without breaking something even more important.

    @3dcad
    Yes and No. We would never want your requests to be constrained by our solutions. Please tell us what you need/want/dream up. If it is hard to do with our architecture, we need to know that, the earlier - the better.
