Problem Rotating Parts

I've been having problems Rotating parts. It seems to choose a different axis of revolution every time I try and sometimes it throws the part completely out of view if I even move it a little bit. I'm not sure if there was a new seting I need to maybe change but I think my coworkers are tired of hearing me scream the C word at my computer. Any Help would be awesome!
