Curve pattern for sketches?

edward_panedward_pan Member Posts: 10
We have linear and circular patterns for sketches, but no curve pattern, which would have been great for patterning along non-circular paths.

I did some searching but haven't found any similar topics.

Ant thoughts?

Yes - use Curve Pattern outside of sketch. IMO you should avoid sketch patterns unless absolutely necessary.

As @NeilCooke said, avoid sketch patterns if possible. They have their uses, but the downsides are they're harder to edit and take longer to rebuild. Same goes for sketch fillets vs fillet features. But depending on what you're doing, if you need to pattern 2D geometry you can apply a curve pattern feature to a surface for similar effect.
