This method uses loft
It does NOT require any intermediary profiles
This profile rotates 1/4 turn from end to end
The twist happens all along the path at a constant rate of rotation from end to end
The twist is built around the 3D Spiral FS
Also, a shout out to @Evan_Reese for his Freeform Spline FS
Never used it on anything before. Didn't bother reading anything
Played with it for a few minutes and was able to pick it up -- because of the well designed interface !!
Like the ability to insert and easily edit. Great tool.
You want a twist of 1/4 revolution (90°)
The 3D Spiral featurescript will only do whole number revolutions
So I have to use a LEAD IN to chew up 3/4 of a revolution
So the straight lead in needs to be 3 times longer than the freeform spline
3 parts of straight line to 1 part of freeform spline
Another way to say it is, for the one revolution of the spirals ------
3/4 of the length needs to be in the straight line
1/4 of the length needs to be in the freeform spline
This means that there will only be 1/4 of a revolution left for the spirals by the time they get to the freeform spline
