Parts drawing not showing properly in assembly

I just recently started using OnShape, and I just created a part with a threaded hole using the helix tool, but when I imported the part in the assembly, the helix isn't showing on the hole, so it's no longer threaded. I wonder what the issue is here and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance

Also, is there a way to flip a part on the Part Studio tab rather than the assembly tab?

@vanya_evangeline, if you make your document "public" (under the sharing options) and post the URL, someone on this forum will surely help you find a solution.

Are the PART and ASSEMBLY both in the same document? If the part is in an external document then you will likely have to "Version" it to include any design changes ... such as the helical thread that you may have added since initially inserting the part into your assembly. But I'm grasping at straws. Share the document.

And yes, you can flip a part in the Part Studio. Experiment with the "Transform" tool.

Like Matthew has stated, without being able to look at your document, it’s going to be hard to tell exactly what your situation is

So if you would post the link or the URL to your document, that would be a good thing

But in the meantime —

The below document shows that threads can be brought from the part studio to assembly without any problem

The document below does use a custom featurescript. So you could install that if you want and make your threads in this manner

Did you create the helix as a new part, rather than a cut of the existing part?

The helix does not belong to the part. You would have to create a composite part and insert that into the assembly.

I take it you want to 3D print this, and have a physical thread so it prints? What you did with the helix tool is made a curve, which has no "shape". You'd have to sweep the thread section on the curve for real threads to show up. As noted above, there is a featurescript that will do this for you. If its some exotic thread, you'll have to sweep it yourself.
