Re: Increase resolution of exported STL
Just set to the resolution you want to check (Coarse, Medium, or Fine) then switch back to Custom and you can see the settings. For me it's... Coarse Angular deviation (deg): 12.5 Chordal tolerance (mm): 0.24 Minimum facet width (mm): 0.635 Medium Angular deviation (deg): 6.25 Chordal tolerance (mm): 0.12 Minimum facet… -

How to define and use simple custom design check rules?
Is there a way to define and use at least simple design rules to check my model against? For instance, it would be beneficial to define a few rules like the following ones (with an example for the limit values): * minimum wall thickness = 0.1 mm * minimum embossed detail (high) = 0.6mm * minimum embossed detail (width) =… -
Re: HOW TO RELAX FLEXED SHEETMETAL PART
I beleve in this case my FS won't work because we have a shape of double curvature. Though since the length of the part is far greater then the width you can get approximate solution by measuring the length of inner and outer edges and calculating the mean value and considering the width to stay the same -
How to make different thickness square patterns the same size?
I have two squares with the middle cut out in my sketch, one of them is thicker than the other. I used the linear pattern tool to make a pattern of these two sqaures. It is quite obvious that the two square grids do not share the same length and width even though the original two squares are the same length and width. Is… -
Re: patterns in assembly configurations
Yes, this is possible. Before we go further, you need to decide what you want your driving parameter to be. Total width and height, spacing between bars, or bar widths. It can be any 2 combinations of these, but all 3 at the same time will over-constrain unless they are the exact right numbers. I suggest Total width and… -
Why are my variables not working when set for feature driven pattern
I have the following profile designed using a variable width In my custom feature I have tried the following annotation { "Name" : "Profile", "Filter" : SketchObject.YES, "MaxNumberOfPicks" : 1 } def.profile is FeatureList; ... setVariable(context, "width", 115 * millimeter); applyPattern(context, id + "sk0", {… -
Re: How can I adjust part pattern spacing based on part geometry?
@Lachlan_Barrell - Will the number of components change in the assembly often? I think the "pattern" tool is useful when you want to easily change the number of components in an assembly, but in your case, you may be better of mating the parts manually. If you do this manually, without the pattern feature, your mates will… -
Equation's in measurements involving variables
Equations should be possible inside of measurements. If a project is variable and you know the scale such as identical shapes that have different sizes, you should be able to input that into measurements. examples width 3x length 5x If I say that the x is equal to 1000 width will be 3000 and length will be 5000 -
