Why are my variables not working when set for feature driven pattern
I have the following profile designed using a variable width In my custom feature I have tried the following annotation { "Name" : "Profile", "Filter" : SketchObject.YES, "MaxNumberOfPicks" : 1 } def.profile is FeatureList; ... setVariable(context, "width", 115 * millimeter); applyPattern(context, id + "sk0", {… -
Re: How can I adjust part pattern spacing based on part geometry?
@Lachlan_Barrell - Will the number of components change in the assembly often? I think the "pattern" tool is useful when you want to easily change the number of components in an assembly, but in your case, you may be better of mating the parts manually. If you do this manually, without the pattern feature, your mates will… -
Tapering shapes?
I'm trying to make a mount to enable me to attach an impact sprinkler to a fence post, but I'm really struggling to create a tapered shape for the spike. It tapers both lengthwise and width wise in each of the four ridges of the spike. Would anyone be able to suggest the best method to try and tackle this? Thanks! I'm -

Re: Letter Stamp for Concrete Curbs
Awesome. Thank you. I think Draft is going to work well. I just need to find a font that has consistent line width. I'm going to try to do a triangle profile sweep as well. Both great ideas. I think I tried Draft originally, I just didn't know how to use it correctly. Your example not only showed me an idea, but showed me… -
Using Arrays with Variables
I am having a difficult time trying to accomplish a sort of "option" selection with a variable driven model. This is what I have so far. #option = "number" #customWidth = "length" #width = [10,20,30,40,50,#customWidth][#option] #customHeight = "length" #height = [30,40,50,60,70,#customHeight][#option] I'm trying to sketch… -

Equation's in measurements involving variables
Equations should be possible inside of measurements. If a project is variable and you know the scale such as identical shapes that have different sizes, you should be able to input that into measurements. examples width 3x length 5x If I say that the x is equal to 1000 width will be 3000 and length will be 5000
