We also have a rotation of multiple machines in the course, and students start a different spots in the rotation. For students beginning 3D printing now in mid-May, I'm finding more student invitations have been dropped.

If there is an expiration date for invitations, I just need to know so that I can plan for it. If not, any ideas why student invitations are getting dropped from the system?

Currently, the terms for Counterbore and Countersink are mistranslated or swapped in the Traditional Chinese interface.

• Counterbore (Flat-bottomed hole) should be 沉頭孔.
• Countersink (Conical hole) should be 埋頭孔.

Correct terminology is essential for engineering education. It would be great if the localization team could review and fix this to maintain the professional standard of the software.

I started as the only Onshape user at my school, but we have grown quickly and now have 20 teachers using the platform!

My school now needs to formalize how we handle drawing exams. We need to move exam documents to specific administrators or "organizers" who can then manage the permissions (who can view or modify the drawings) for the students.

We are currently using the Onshape Free EDU plan.

Is it possible to set up this type of workflow or folder management on the EDU plan? I am open to any suggestions or workarounds you might have!

I'm so entranced lately with watching the Wintergatan - YouTube series. With the help of @Derek_Van_Allen_BD (and constant shout outs to @EvanReese ), we get to see the creative process unfold in real time (although the after real time, 1.5x speed is the more realistic option).

well I don't know if I am at the right place, but I will ask a question and if I'm at the wrong
group please let me know. We are using OnShape to teach students of Mechanical Engineering the CAD basics.

During our course we have couple of small exams and those exams differ from classroom to classroom
(we have 40 classrooms) and I do not want student from one classroom to see/know task given to student from
other classroom until the end of the week.
But, there is no way to limit student access on OnShape Activity page so the student can
see what other students are doing with no restrictions.

Is there any way how to limit students view on Activity only to their classroom or to disable it?

With that, a Close assignment scheduler would also be helpful. Like the Publish scheduler, it should include NOW (If Active) or Date and Time, For a bounse, maybe a timer option to set for HH:MM after published.

The CAM Studio is an amazing addition which I was waiting for. But sadly, it is not for educators and students yet.

I am now in a situation for which I really need to do 3D and even 4D CAM processing, but I struggled finding something I can use. My faculty is pushing me to buy a license for Fusion 360 because it would be the same if we buy a licence for a CAM, but I don't want that and cannot afford it in my center either.

Please, open it to Education as well

If not, can this be a considered upgrade?

I have a few questions please:

• When setting up classes and then creating assignments, how do i create a copy of the same document for myself so that I can teach it to them in the class? Should I be creating my document first and then somehow copying this to be uploaded as the assignment file or do I still have to create a new file for myself that mirrors the shared template?
• I have some students who have clicked 'submit' at the end of a first lesson using this new system, how do I 'un-submit' this work to allow them to continue to work in the file?
• Do I still need to load the students in vias a csv file as 'users' or does adding them via 'csv' to the class list automatically invite them to the school's enterprise area?
• Is there ever going to be a CFD add on for us as schools that is included in the enterprise option?

Is there a way for it to be split into 2, 90 min assessments to make it easier to give in a school setting?

This would be similar to the Clone Class but would need to export the metadata and resource files to share. I suspect this would require a way to bind the resource files to the Class vs currently they are in a general folder in the Educators Account.

A quick question - can someone tells me how I scale a part in part studio around the Centre of Gravity? How do I set the CoG as reference point for scalling?

I am moving my classes from AutoCAD to Onshape and was wondering how you guys go about grading the assignments. I have seen from some people like totalltoby that they use the mass method but I want to make sure that they are putting holes and slots in the right place as well without having to go and pull up each and every single drawing and measure them out myself. Any and all help is appreciated it. Thank you.

I am trying to set up the classroom to use in my upcoming class as last term we started using CAD but instead of using the classroom feature we just had each student create a folder and share it with the instructor. I have been able to set up assignments and that is coming along nicely but as I add more and more to the classroom I started realizing there is not really a solid way to organize them. Is there maybe a folder that I can create in there to group things by classroom or even day?

Also I was wondering if there was a way to add a specific open and close date and or time, or do I have to go in and manually turn assignments off and on to achieve that. I don't want the students to work ahead and when I did this with autocad in my LMS I would have the assignments turn on the day I wanted them to and then have them close when they were due so nothing could be added after that time. Thank you.

Is there any way to edit the supression features, or some sort of work around?

New to onshape and going through the tutorials to see what is what.

I am starting at the sketching introduction lesson 1 and can't seem to find the drawing page to open up to attempt the tutorial on, I have the step by step guide but not the drawing page, so I have nothing to draw on.

Please can anyone help?
