How to remove a wedge of material?
Hello,
I am trying to make a wall mount bracket and am working on the female part. I am trying to make something similar to the image attached, but with some changes. The current part I am struggling with is making the wedge space for my mount to rest on. I have side wedges to slide on, but wanted the superior wedge for more support. How can I remove that material?

Glen, thanks for your response. I am not making that male part yet, but will be much easier now with you help there. What I am trying to do is remove material from the surface highlighted in the image here:
I would like a wedge removed like at the sides to have 3 surfaces of weight bearing for the section that will then be screwed to the wall.
As a side note, I have also been struggling with making the grey section on my document a solid object (that section is currently hollow). It seems you were able to do that as it is blue and not grey. How were you able to make that work?

draft tool seems like it would be a logical solution for that surface
