I'd like to be able to highlight geometry for user reference while they're editing a FeatureScript but without impacting the overall regeneration performance. The closest way I know of doing this is with debug(), but that adds ~1ms regeneration per face or vector and ~6ms per direction even during normal part regeneration…
Hey Guys, I have encountered a problem, where I have the inner part of the bearing connected to a rod via cylindrical mate and the outer part of the bearing, to be more specific the plane area with the bore holes, must be parallel to the marked side of the servomotor, no planar mate. In theory this connection must work,…
My first play with the Analysis feature of OnShape. I have a simple structure which is a composite beam consisting of two elements (upper and lower) having different properties, fastened together with bolts. The load is applied to the lower element, but only the upper element is supported at each end. I am ultimately…
Hi, I’m currently working on creating various jigs for parts that we manufacture. This works well for solid parts using Boolean operations, but I would like to achieve the same result with hollow parts, as shown in the picture. Is there a way to create only the imprint of the outer or inner surface of a hollow part, rather…
I am trying to use Gemini for feature script creation and it has not been awesome. I have tried up to 5 iterations where I feed OnShape errors back into Gemini to fix, and not been successful. Someone told me he had to run 40 iterations! Is this other people's experience? How many debug iterations do you run?
-Link to feature up front- Look, standard sweeps are boring. They have no drama. They have no torque. They just follow the path like a good little obedient feature. I got tired of it. So I made Tweep. It’s a Sweep. It Twists. It’s Tweep. Do you want your geometry to look like a churro that gave up on life? Do you need a…
Would anyone know when we can expect further functionality within the hole feature to include BSPP BSPT and NPT threads?
This is the first drawing I have attempted and cannot figure out how to add two bends to it. I've tried some of the tutorials and something is just not clicking.
I am currently working on this part. The idea that I'm trying to make work is for the end of the gray part to be parallel to the face of the blue part as the angle of the blue part changes. I made a plane parallel to the blue part's face and drew the sketch on it. It looked good until the angle rotated past 135 degrees.…
