In context part studios - master modelling technique.. Design assembly - parts not fixed in space?

Hello, forgive me but moving from creo, solidworks etc to Onshape.

Trying to do master modelling design for a project that we have - industrial designer creates the surface reference file and i create a new top level assembly with these REFs in place. I then create seperate parts and edit in context to take the surfaces from the REFs. This way if the designer changes a surface this is replicated into the seperate parts. All parts are inserted to the same origin. This works in creo, solidworks etc. I have tried to start it in Onshape.

However i find that the parts which were created in context and that form my design assembly are free to move?! I have one that is fixed but normally they were inserted at the origin - why are they now free?

If someone can help this would be amazing, thanks.
