how to disable the measure tool in a shared document with view only access

We want to share our CAD data with customers so that they can see the model and explore the tree to get part numbers etc for ordering of spare parts but we do not want them to be able to use the measure tool. Is it possible to disable this tool?

If they can buy the product, they can measure the real thing. If there are internal details you want to make “secret”, you could simplify the models.

Agreed, they can measure the real thing but reverse engineering our design in a nice warm office using a PC and drawing up some parts is a whole lot easier than physically having the machine taken apart, losing production in the process etc etc.
Our systems currently rely on customers identifying ballooned item numbers on an assembly drawing to determine the spare part they need but we stopped using drawings as our primary assembly instruction internally long ago. The fitters prefer to use the actual model on a screen next to them and so the assembly drawings are not as fit for purpose for the spares department as they have been historically.
Thus, many of our customers are referring to assembly drawings that are not used by our team and if an item is not ballooned it does not get noticed until the customer is examining his pdf's.
Essentially, I want to share view only models with our customers to allow them to use the follow mode with a member of our spares team to identify part numbers they need quoted but I am getting pushback from my internal team regarding the ability of the customer to use the measure tool.
