New Feature: Braided Curve

Hey all! Wanted to model some braided wires for fun, and couldn't find a custom feature to generate the braid paths. Slapped one together real quick, snag it here:

Eventually I'll add options for more than 3 strands (right now the logic is all kinda hard-coded for 3 strands). Also, sneak preview of another feature for when you want to model stranded core wires :)

That's impressive. Not sure I'd ever need that but good to know if I do. Curious, What do you do that prompted a need for that?
So friggin cool. Not sure when I'd use it, but I'm adding it anyway. Maybe I'll need to make some cosplay jewelry someday?

Shapeways is back doing metal cast 3d prints. You could use it for actual jewelry if you were inclined to. I might just add more to my collection.

A former coworker asked me for help modeling a Spiritomb ring way back before they went bankrupt and I took my payment in the form of a copper cast version of the ring he got in brass. It's part of my daily wear because I'm trying to get it to tarnish all ghostly and spooky green in the crevices by being exposed to the chlorine from the shop floor.
