I have made a drawing and need to add a couple of bends to it
This is the first drawing I have attempted and cannot figure out how to add two bends to it. I've tried some of the tutorials and something is just not clicking.

I want to do a 90 degree bend at the bottom line and a 45 degree bend in the opposite direction at the other line.
To be honest, I am not even sure if I did this drawing correctly. I do know the seven holes are all in the correct place.

Use the sheet metal tools

Do what Eric said and use sheetmetal. Spending a couple hours in that tutorial he linked will make your whole life easier.
Some other hints specific to your model, keep your sketches simple. The first sketch should be just the main shape. Right now it has everything in it: the main shape, the big holes, the little holes, and all the tiny radii in the corner.
