how do i copy a plane in an assembly with the components into a new workspace?
I've copied an assembly of an ej20 engine that someone created and I'm wanting to use it to design an exhaust manifold for my subaru. how can i copy the plane that has the exhaust ports so i can make a new drawing having those components to referance off of? im new to onshape so it could be that im missing something obvious, anyways thank you :)

Hello. First, how did you 'copy' it? Of what file format is it? If possible, please post a link to your document so we can take a look at what you've got. - Scotty

Import the model, then use the derive feature to get it into the part studio you want to work in.

And use Mate Connectors if you want to establish a specific datum/plane from the import! Mate Connectors act like planes in assemblies (and can be defined in a Part Studio or Assembly) so you you can establish the target locations in the import Part Studio and then use them by using Derive or inserting into assemblies
