Tolkien style ring?

I'd like to take a drawing and wrap it around the surface of a ring, then have that drawing cut out of the surface so it can be filled with glow epoxy after casting. How do I get a sketch to wrap around a curved surface?

Sorry, a wrapped sketch is not possible in current version of OS. It is an often requested feature, and new updates are happening every 3 weeks, so hopefully it will be available at some point.

You might be able to simulate it by segmenting the ring into smaller sections, drawing the sketch and extruding it, and then move to the next section. it wont be perfectly curved but it probably wont be noticeable. Putting some rounds on the intersections will make it less noticeable.0

Hmmm, it's saying the resource doesn't exist or I am not allowed to access it. Any ideas? Curious to see, and I was thinking along the same lines as your suggestion above.
