"MD" measure distance FS feature: what is required to measure angle?

3D3D OS Professional Posts: 52 ✭✭
Can someone well versed in FS please advise how involved it would be to modify the "MD" measure distance FS feature to measure an angle that could change in aparametric model so that an appropriate calculation could be referenced off the measured Angle?

Another valuable variation potentially part of this is measuring the length of arcs, which could be very handy in some situations.

The fact that OS can display this information indicates that it is already possible, however the ability to be able to include this sort of information in the "build" of the model would be invaluable.

Thank you @ilya_baran, that is great!

Is it possible to measure the length of:
    1. More than 1 edge segment @ a time? (to determine perimeter totals etc.?)
    2. What about splines?
Could this be included into a single "Measure" feature in OS?
That would be a valuable workaround for sharing between documents until "Global Variables" emerge.

The measure length feature already supports both of those cases.  If you wanted the perimiter of a face, that's another small change.
A general measure feature would be good and possible -- we have plans to make it built in, but for now the custom features provide a workaround.
