Measuring distances

How to measure a distance in a design as oppose to setting a distance? For example I have a square 4ft x 4ft, how do measure 2.5ft in from any edge? Please help.

Mario - your description is a little vague.

You are asking how to 'measure' a distance - the 'measure' tool (bottom right hand corner) is pretty good at this! :)
If you are asking how to create an offset distance - then that is also very easy, but is dependent on what you mean by 'square'.
If your 'square' is a sketch, then the 'offset' tool would allow you to do this.
If your 'square', is a solid body, then you could use any number of tools to do this (offset face and thicken are the two that jump to mind).

If you have a question about specific geometry, then you must post a link to a public document the community will be glad to help.

    Good luck! :)
