Tube Notch/Coping Flat Pattern

Hi all, i'm looking to design a chassis frame with lots of notch/coped tubes within it, i would then like to print out a design template based on the drawing of each tube, tape them to actual parts and use them to cut the notches acurately.

I've had a go with sheet metal function, this works in the sense that i can see the flat pattern in the sheet metal view, but you're forced to increase the thickness of the tube by at least 0.1mm and so they'll be dimensionally incorrect.

The other option i found from this forum post https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/7622/unwrapping-tube-pipe-cylinders was the feature script Sketch Wrapper, this seems to not work for one end of each tube.

Does anyone have any other experiences of doing anything similar, or any ideas of how i should move forward?

Thanks,

Connor
