Helix Length

I have a cylindrical hole which I have put a helix on, however the hole is longer than I want the helix to be, and the helix just carries to the end of the cylinder. I was wondering if there was a way to make it stop at a certain depth down the tube?

When creating the helix, use the "height and turns", "height and pitch", or "turns and pitch" options instead of the "turns" or "pitch" options. You'll be prompted to select a circular edge instead of a cylindrical surface. The helix will start at that edge and have the same diameter. But the height/pitch/turns can then be entered manually.6
