How to align boards to at the same length and distance.

Hello, newbie here. I'm trying to model a deck using 8 inch wide planks spaced out by .048 feet (just under half inch) in a sketch. I started by sketching one plank then duplicated it, used the tools to align it how I want. I want to have a total of 15 boards following suit. If there is a better way to do it I am open to all suggestions.

@parker_rosen294in the GIF below, I modeled a 2 x 8 that’s 12 foot long
And then used Linear Pattern to make 15 pieces
