Editing sheet metal in flat

I'm facing this issue with sheet metal designing since it's being done when it's already bent.
Any tips?

Here is the example of the cut in the flat up to the bend line. Like @glen_dewsbury mentioned you would open the flat pattern window and create a sketch there.

Ofer. Don't forget that you can roll back in the feature tree to before the 'finish sheet metal model' to make adjustments with out loosing the finished sheet metal model and other features in between.1

@ofer_liberman, the issue may be that 45'ish degree chamfer, which intersects the bend. Can you make this document public and share the URL?1

If you're looking for a edge that blends through the bend. Try building the part wider than needed and trim back on the flat pattern.

I couldn't find a way to flatten it in order to cut it like in option b., it, the way I would normally do on SolidWorks.0 -
There is a sheet metal tab on the right side of your screen. When open you'll see the flat part and bend table. From there you can select the flat surface to sketch on. When you hit extrude it will default to remove.

Here's another issue I'm meeting - I made a change to my model and added a new section to it, tried to apply the 'boolean' feature but, it doesn't seem to unify the two parts - with 'keep tools' ticked or not..glen_dewsbury said:Ofer. Not sure why but boolean doesn't work on sheet metal parts (there are a number of things that can't be done in sheet metal parts such as split face, etc).
You just have to keep adding to your initial part.1 -
@ofer_liberman not sure what you are looking to do with part 2.If you want to extend that flange instead of an extrude after sketch 11 you could use move face and extend the flange or you could have drawn sketch11 with the extra you needed and used the tab function.If you are looking to get rid of part 2 just use the delete part option.If you are looking to add a straight area at the end of the flange to use to gauge against the stop of a press brake and then remove this area after bending then I would suggest the break off tab feature script for this.Here is your model with that feature script:

It didn't work Eric, 'merge' showed an error..
