opBoolean / standard Boolean Hybrid, direction and mergeScope

As per the title, I have the need to generate something where I both extrude in a direction, but I want it to be a NewBodyOperation.NEW as well. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

you mean like extruding a new body, and then using it to cut another body while keeping the extruded body?0

Not quite. The only thing which is better for opExtrude than extrude is that opExtrude allows me to define a direction. But, opExtrude (it appears) defaults to a merge boolean I think, and doesn't have the specific settings for mergeScope. It might be slightly too much of a picky thing to explain the use case for though.0

Oh got ya. Extrude() should allow for a direction and a merge scope since it is literally the same as the native extrude feature, but internal to your code. You may have to dig into the function a bit to find out what map keys to use to set them, but they're there.0
