Appearance Colour

Is there a quick way to change appearance of parts in an assembly? (eg by box selecting - right click) Now I have to go into each individual part to reset the appearance. 

Dear forum Is there a way to configure the individual parts of a pattern individually? I want to create a LED matrix with different signs as a configuration. Unfortunately it looks like I need to insert each of the 512 LEDS as a individual part to be able to change some of the colours with the configurations. Any ideas?

The Onhape Help shows that by right clicking on a part within an assembly, a popup of actions appear that include "edit appearance". When I do that "edit appearance" is not amongst the available actions. Did this action move?

I have be experimenting with Appearances (trying to emulate the approximate colours of, say, brass or alochrome 1200S aluminium components.
