extrude holes parts

I've tried every way to make holes and for some reason, I can not get holes to generate in this part anymore. I had no problem at first now they will just not generate. I keep getting an error message saying: "Extrude did not regenerate properly: Sheet metal model cannot be built". Why is this? I had no problem extruding…

Hello, I extruded that cylindrical part from a sketch on the face of my front plate. I now want the three holes from the extrude go through the front plate. I tried selecting the circles in the sketch, but when I then choose extrude, solid and remove the selection is lost. How can I achieve this? Thanks for your help. Jay.
