To truly turn a stl into a solid model you need something like DesignX that will try to recognize features and guide you through recreating them from cross section sketches. It's not a one click proc… (View Post)5 -

I'm not sure if the exact shape that you're looking for, but the revolve command is usually the best one for anything cylindrical. That way you only have one sketch to manage for edits. (View Post)6 -
