Re: Suggestion with Screenshot: Icons in Features List
The icons and text are clean and do not clutter but I do have a problem seeing them as they are small and the line widths are very thin. Messing with the font and zoom settings in my browser did not improve the icon or text size in OnS. Is there a method for doing this as I could not find it in the help section. -
If based Look Up Tables For Configurations
Configurations are powerful and are able to make it very easy to grab a specific part and insert it into your assembly. However as of right now i think that some improvements can be made in regards to parts that have multiple part numbers and configs. For example I have a wire duct part that comes in a verity of height… -
Re: Is there a way to make a copy of a curve or sketch Id
Hi, Kevin: yes, i've gotten some examples working by transforming the letters, roughly as you suggested. When i can pre-compute the points I want , your recommended strategy works. But in many cases, I cannot pre-compute the coordinates to transform to. Consider I have two letters next to each other. I have no way to know… -
Re: How do you upload fonts into Onshape?
I'm not sure how (or if) it would work either. So far as I can see Onshape can't do anything with stick characters so far as extrusions go. For example, a sketch with a single line can't be extruded, presumably because the line has no width. I suppose one option might be to create a double stroke font that has a very tiny… -
is there a way to add your own steels to the frame list?
is there a way to add your own steels to the frame list? we have different sized beams and channels that arent on the list. for example i was looking for 200x90x30 PFC but on my list the option of 200 PFC has a width of 75mm not 90. there has been other sizes of steels too but thats the most recent one i have tried to use.… -
Re: Any way to increase the size of dimension entry?
I ran into the same problem, then I noticed that if I created a variable in a Variable Studio, I could expand the width of the "Value" column to a comfortable size.. You're forced to use the separate tab instead of entering your expression in a sketch, but it gets the job done. Looks like the improvement request hasn't… -
Re: HELP! Gears (Globoids & Other types)
That explains why I had trouble getting larger gears created using this tool. Nice that you found where the problem coming from. I am new to FS, so didn't know about this "bounds spec". I will update to your current version. To give you an idea, my parameters wrt tool inputs are as follows: px = 0.10923in, so module m =… -
Re: Improvements to Print in Onshape
Excellent suggestions from @peter_hall Here's a couple more: 1) When we choose the screen area per Peter's point 4, the graphic should be scaled to fit the printable area. The rectangular boundary, which we can move around and resize, should be constrained to the appropriate proportion between height and width. It would be…
