Re: Problem importing dxf file
It's because your DXF looks like this…. WAY too many lines for Onshape to handle in a sketch feature
MDesign
Autodesk to acquire PTC
I hope it doesn't go through. Not good for PTC products, IMO. We'll end up with junk websites and junk software, IMO.

Grid view not being available for searching Documents is a big minus. Both while browsing through folders or using search. Hopefully that can be added to the UI.
Re: Corner Break Stability?
Remember to submit a ticket when you run into weird/unstable stuff!
They won't fix issues if they know about them! I just submitted a ticket about a corner break feature adding a sliver of material next a bend relief (there was some weird geometry but still shouldn't have been doing this).
Corner break does make it quicker to apply as you can box select stuff and it only grabs "2D" corners. You can switch between a fillet and chamfer easily (if your sheet metal vendor come back and say they prefer one over the other for example).
There are also a bunch of "not-applicable" stuff in the regular fillet feature so I could see that being a reason to split it out… Makes the interface simpler (not to mention the code behind it). I guess it could have been a "tab" at the top of the fillet feature (although the "chamfer" option would be a bit out of place there and you would lose the ability to switch from one to the other if that moved to the "regular" chamfer command…)
Re: Difficulty figuring out a solution for door latch with a 3-point locking mechanism mate combination
Couple more things I meant to say…
It might make more sense to move the bars up in the higher level assembly than having them part of the "lock" sub-assembly.
It would make setting up the pin slot mate easier as you would start with that and add the cylindrical mate at the bolt end afterwards
EDIT: never mind, leave the revolutes in the lock subassembly and change the mate between the lock and handle subassemblies to a slider (I edited the public doc shared earlier), that's a good match for what would actually happen as you would tighten the screw locking these two last when everything is aligned and moving correctly.
Re: Difficulty figuring out a solution for door latch with a 3-point locking mechanism mate combination
Pin slot mate is the way to go:
Two things needed:
- the bars need to be switched to a cylindrical in the sub assembly so they don't fight the pin slot.
- Setting up the pin slot mate requires re-aligning the mate connectors correctly (can be a bit tricky to figure out at first), and making sure the "pin" is the bracket and the "slot" is the bar.

Re: Am I going crazy ?
Do you mean that when you hide a part in a subassembly and it doesn't show when you show the subassembly? If that's the case if you hide a part in another assembly it doesn't matter if you show the assembly itself the parts will still be hidden. I hoped that helped.

Re: New Feature: Text path
@vanowm Yes there is, though Onshape's way of doing this is a little hokey.
1. create your variable (use the type "any" for string)
2. in the feature, right-click the text field and select "convert to expression". This means the field is now interpreted as an expression.
3. you can now put in your text variable (so long as it is actually text):
4. number type variables will misbehave:
You can deal with that by putting in the expression "toString(#custom_number)"

Yes having labels in the document line was really useful. Collapsing the folders tab every time is a pain and everything seems less clear somehow
