Re: How do I rotate an object?
This is suppoed to help you because the answer is one of the most basic Onshape feature : the Mate Connector. The basic courses will teach you why the Mate Connector is and how it can be used, this will not only answer your question but help you in so many other ways when using Onshape. Not using the Mate Connectors is a big handicap.

Onshape perpetually hangs on 'Loading drawing'
For the past couple of days I have been almost completely unable to access any of my 2D drawings. I have been making updates to a part studio that contains approximately 20 custom parts and a large number of purchased parts, primarily imported CAD files from McMaster.
My edits to the part studio are now complete, and I need to update the 2D files for release to production. I began this process yesterday afternoon (say 4pm, Vancouver, Canada) but quickly ran into trouble. While I have been able to update a few drawings, Onshape often hangs indefinitely when I open the drawing tab for a particular part, with a spinning wheel in the center and the message 'Loading drawing'. Clicking the yellow circular icon to update to the newest part has no impact.
Today the problem is much worse and I have only been able to access a single drawing (11am Vancouver). When I try to make edits, however, it hangs perpetually with the small spinning circle.
I have tried both Chrome and Firefox, with no difference between the two. A colleague in Ontario is also experiencing the same issue. The model has not changed that significantly, and my internet connection is fine. I have tried restarting, reloading, etc. I cannot share the confidential design files.
I see in the forums that Onshape has reported issues with drawings in Europe, but nothing in North America. Is anyone else experiencing these issues?
This couldn't come at a worse time as we have a production schedule lined up and the shop is sitting idle waiting for parts. I really do like Onshape and I think it holds tremendous promise, but these sorts of sporadic issues make me very nervous about further committing to this platform.
Any assistance or suggestions is appreciated.
Re: Set Property (New Custom Feature!) 🆕
Thanks @Pattabi_Kakumanu for the workaround ! At least this restores the script functionality, but it also clears all the other properties which then need to be manually re-entered, not very practical. I hope there is a way for the featurescript to detect that it needs to reset the name property and that it is possible to reset only one field.

Re: Tracing over images.. is Onshape really bad at this or am I?
OK, I had the brainwave that I could search one of the thousands of public implementations of that exercise and look at how they did it.
Here's one example. This person created a coincidence between the line of sketch 2 and the corner of sketch 1. Why this is allowed and a coincidence between the two lines isn't, I have no idea, but I've just tried it in my version and it does work. Apologies if that's what you were trying to tell me, Matt, I can see you did circle the corner of sketch 1 in your screenshot.
The wording of the example could be improved though, it's definitely not obvious why one of these should be allowable and the other not.
Re: Set Property (New Custom Feature!) 🆕
@Jon_H You can click on reset all in the properties tab. Then it works see the video below.

Re: Onshape and "leasing" ones work
What does your idea of 'leasing' entail exactly?
Re: OnShape developers, I have questions
Hi @nocandopdx - glad to hear you're enjoying Onshape!
The reason for the different UI is one is an app on mobile catering for touch input and limited screen space and the other is a browser app with keyboard and mouse input.
- 3 dots for touch, right mouse button for mouse.
- View cube is clickable with mouse to orient the model including all views, not with touch UI.
- Sketch tools are only visible when sketching.
- There are no drawings on mobile for technical reasons only.
Re: Featurescript Boolean of Booleans not working
Thanks Neil,
I missed that piece of logic to understand what I was doing wrong.
Also, I think it is worth mentioning another similar discussion that I just found and that provides a good workaround (of which now I understand the logic): query bodies created by boolean? — Onshape
Cheers
