Re: Parts list for dimensional wood projects?
Try the Measure Cut List feature. It's intended for projects like this.
Re: Improvements to Onshape - May 16th, 2025
I agree with
Would be great to be able to sort alphabetical when inserting parts into assemblies.

Re: Query Finder (A new way to automate Onshape!) 🆕
Technically that is supported with standard features - its just not easily accessible.
I've been working on a video essay on the subject, I can send it your way when its ready.
Re: Is there a way to change default part colours? (Blue, then gray, then dark blue, etc.)
I would love to see you implement functionality for choosing a custom default color palette/order!
Re: Query Finder (A new way to automate Onshape!) 🆕
In a similar vein to this I've been experimenting with modifications to some of the standard features to allow the user to select a previous feature as an input instead of strictly limiting things to geometry types. The amount of downstream rebuild power you get with a simple qCreatedBy() passing things between features is such a game changer that I think it should be supported across the entire function library
Re: How to Identify Faces Directly Created from Sketch Edges in an Extruded Part (FeatureScript)?
You are looking for qCapEntity or qNonCapEntity
This will query for either the end faces or the side faces created by extrudes, revolve, sweep, loft, thicken.

Re: How to stretch text?
You could use a series of Move Faces to try to get the result you're after, which would be easy for the T and a pain for the A. That might be fine for your needs, but to be designerly about it you'll want to do something more subtle. Typefaces are a whole thing, and the thing you're trying to do here seems like a job for a variable font. It's not just a straight scale. There are a lot of those for free on fonts.google.com. Here's an example of a variable font in action. The downside of course is having to convert that to a dxf to import and it won't be parametric.
