Re: AI Assist for PDF management
It's not that it doesn't work sometimes, it's that the reliability is far too low for all serious applications where the consequences of error are significant at this point in time, and not only is the error rate far too high, it's not even predictable. And on top of that, they're an area of active research. They are simply unpredictable and non-deterministic.
Then there's the implementation and development effort, which is enormous. The availability of models from many large corporations belies the logistical difficulty in implementing one and the costs and hardware needed to train and run it.
CAD is simply not a suitable industry for early adoption of a poorly understood fledgling technology. Indeed, I'm already seeing many companies with policies that require such a significant amount of disclosure and supporting evidence for accuracy of output for any use of AI LL models in design that it's not viable.
It's great you're an early adopter. AI development needs people like you, but for those for whom AI assistance needs to be a tool, not an interest, it's not there yet - and that's who pays for CAD.
It does have its place, but doing research for you is not it.

Re: ARM64 Support - Snapdragon X Elite
@parker_bradshaw589 please hold off on your purchase. Two different people reached out to me internally and pointed out that there is an open issue with Snapdragon(R) X Elite - X1E80100 and Onshape.
I'm not sure if it's something that we are going to be able to fix or if it's an issue with the Snapdragon.
My apologies for the incorrect information!
Re: How can i shell the bottom without making the hole becomes "not hole"
If you just want to have the holes be holes in the wall, rather than enclosed slots, reverse the order of the creation of the holes.
first shell the main box, then cut-extrude the holes afterwards.

Re: Error while importing STEP file
It seems to import as a complete model when I use these import settings

Re: How do you create a sphere?
Yeah, I get it, you have to draw a half circle, then a line under it to revolve around. Thanks!
Re: Connecting to wrong Onshape server
Thanks to all that replied. I checked my router's configuration, and the DNS name server was set to my new ISP default of 202.142.142.142. I did a few searches, and it all comes back to Aussie Broadband (my ISP), registered in Victoria Australia (where I am), but I don't know enough about DNS fto be able to do any more digging. I swapped the name servers over to google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), and after a reboot, that fixed the problem! My latency is back down to 22ms.
Thanks very much once again for the very speedy and very helpful replies.
