In context part holes

Hopefully, I ask this correctly....and apologize in advance as I'm sure it has been answered somewhere already.
I have made an in-context part that requires new threaded holes in one of the parts in the assembly.
When making the clearance holes with hole command in the in-context part I don't see a way to use "blind in last" with the assembly part. If it were all in a part studio it would be very slick and the merge scope will deal with the holes in both parts, but in this case, its greyed out.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks

You can use the assembly as a reference to create your part and edit it later on. But you can't modify the assembly content when in-context.I hope I understood your question correctly...
