Change color of faces

Hi all guys,
I am interested in doing color changes only on faces of a part, and I see that, actually, there is no feature that can do this. Is there any way to perform face coloring via featurescript?
Thanks!

This is one of our highly requested features, but it has not been implemented yet. You can vote here:

For now, you can make a surface using offset surface with 0 or some minimal offset:
https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/offset_surface.htm
And then you can color that surface.
Can anyone from Onshape give any insight on how priority is handled to "high count" IR's, but they have a "work around" that is at some scale of ease to accomplish the task? Is priority altered at all? Or is vigilance to give the people what they want sort of speak still unwavering?
We definitely don't consider workarounds like this to be "final product". We do try to pick up important improvements that have absolutely no workaround, but that doesn't mean that we've forgotten that things like this are important and necessary.
