Balloon Call Problem on Mac

This is a problem I encountered some 8 months ago which I believed to have been solved. However on trying to use the balloon callout box with the BOM Table it will only read the Item No Column.I am using the Safari browser on the Mac which could still be the problem as it works fine with a chrome browser in windows. Is there any way this can fixed without changing my Mac Browser.
Could someone give some advice please.
