are there videos on how to use the enclose tool to fix parts broken into surfaces?

i know i need to use the enclose tool i think to fix one of the parts i imported but im having a hard time finding a video on how to use it..

    The approach I take is to use an offset plane to bisect the surfaces, add everything to an enclose (which will normally fail), edit the plane distance with final mode on and move until a part is created.  This will let me do a binary search of which regions are not fully enclosed.

    If you are willing to share an example, I can take a shot trying to enclose it.
