disappearing arc for loft path

I'm trying to make an arc on the right plane connecting the center of the circle on the origin to the point in the rectangle. This arc will be used as a path for a loft between the circle and rectangle. I can sketch the arc, but when I tap the checkmark it disappears. What do I need to do different?

maybe you are clicking the green check before the arc is finished? It looks like you have two sketches Sketch 4 and Sketch 5 that don't contain any geometry.
