julia_bondjulia_bond Member Posts: 1

Hello all

As a beginner with On Shape, I am very keen to 3D print my first model. How to I export the On Shape file to enable me to import it into the 3D print software (Cura).

Kind regards

Julia Bond

Hi Julia, you need to export to an STL file from your Onshape Part Studio.   Check out this high level guide on preparing yourself for 3D Printing which has some instructions for you.  https://www.onshape.com/cad-blog/successful-3d-printing.  One slight change since the blog posted is the name of the feature feature is simple "Export" when right clicking the part from the feature tree.

    Good luck Julia!

julia_bond,you can export the file by following process
1.Right click on the required part studio where part is made

    .
    click on export option.
2.Select the required format(generally for 3D printing STL) then press OK.

Now you can upload the file to Printer.
