mod to model

Hi to anyone that can help. I have drawn a 34mm diameter tube with a 6mm wall section inside a 40mm square box section with a 3mm wall, this is a welded assembly, HOW do i create a M10 tapped hole in the side of the box section and continuing thro the 6mm circular tube wall. Ive tried the extrude and hole commands etc and have got absolutely know where. Can any one help. New to this so be polite and patient and forgive my ignorance.

Be sure to select both parts with the hole command, Hope that helps.

On extruding hole , blind 50mm , remove and merge with all.
Good to see you giving OS a try.

Tapped holes are at present only possible by explicitly modelling the helical thread (usually overkill) or by making a plain hole the size of a tapping drill, and attaching a comment to remind you that it's threaded, or by making such a (plain) hole in a dedicated feature and renaming the feature "Tap M10"

Tried that Pete, think its because I didnt select the inner tube aswell
