Build Enum using array of strings

Working on building a custom feature with dropdowns that change based on imported JSON, but I'm finding that the only way to build an enum for a drop down input is with text that is automatically recognised as a set type, so there isn't any way of passing it a variable like an array of strings taken from a JSON.
If this is possible to implement, it could be really interesting for us.
