Deleting sketch entities

I accidentally added a number of lines in the wrong places by selecting the wrong planes on which to draw my sketch. This prevents me from being able to select the appropriate part of the sketch to extrude. How can the lines shown highlighted in the sketch below be deleted? I tried to do so by clicking the delete button on the keyboard and selecting the lines but there is no option to delete them.

I opened the document, but I'm not sure which sketch you're having issues with. While the sketch is open, selecting the lines first, then pressing the delete button should work.
